At Clinical List America, it is our goal to help our clients meet their patient recruitment needs in an efficient and timely manner. Throughout the years, we have evolved our strategies and become experts in recruiting patients via direct mail. However, this is not to say that this is our only recruitment strategy.

The Clinical List America team is constantly looking for new ways to help our clients meet their goals for patient enrollment in clinical trials. Working with a variety of clients (ranging from Sites, CROs and Sponsors) we’ve noticed that many individual sites are developing Facebook business pages in an effort to familiarize the local community with their clinic. As patient recruitment experts, we know that an integrated approach (i.e. implementing social media with direct mail recruiting efforts) to clinical trial recruitment strategies can help you reach your goals more efficiently.

Recently, Facebook officially launched their ‘Graph Search’ function. With this, Facebook users are able to search Facebook content via specific phrases. You can take advantage of this function by optimizing your site’s Facebook business page, allowing you the greater likelihood to show up in potential participants’ ‘search results.’  How? Here are our tips:

1. Location

Do you have your physical address on your Facebook page? If not, then add it now! Including your location will help increase the likelihood of showing up in a search of the area.

2. About Me

Make sure your ‘About Me’ section has detailed information about your products/services! After all, you want potential participants to understand who you are and what you do.

3. Use the Lingo

Incorporate industry language into your page. These phrases may be used during a ‘Graph Search.’

4. Industry Category

‘Check’ which industry category your business falls under. This can be found here: Edit Page à Update Page Info à Category.

5. Visual Appeal

Post high-resolution photos that will appeal to your key audiences. With the ‘Graph Search,’ users are able to search specific pictures – so make sure you come up in the results by having pictures to share! Plus, people like pictures, so this will help keep your audience engaged!

Sounds easy enough, right? Now all you have to do is implement your direct mail campaign. To start, all you need to do is give Clinical List America a call at 1-888-299-1202 or by calling our customer advocate, Mary Lou, at MaryLou@ClinicalListAmerica.com.
